Legacy
Preserving the life, values, and historical contribution of Ismail Mohammed Tahir.

IMTAR Organization
From the roots of Kordofan to a modern institution of enterprise, service, and trust,
IMTAR Organization preserves the legacy of Ismail Mohammed Tahir and carries it forward through foundation, governance, and responsible enterprise.
Inspired by the endurance of the Tabaldi tree — rooted in Kordofan, generous in hardship, and living across generations.
1947
From a market in Al-Ubayyid, the IMTAR name became associated with organization, fairness, civic duty, and family responsibility.
Institutional Role
Before IMTAR is a group of companies, it is a name carried across generations. IMTAR Organization exists to protect that name, preserve its memory, guide its governance, and direct its public-service mission. It is the home of the founder's story, the family charter, the humanitarian foundation, and the principles that give meaning to the commercial group.

Legacy
In 1947, the IMTAR story began in Al-Ubayyid, Kordofan, through the work of Ismail Mohammed Tahir. His life moved between commerce, civic leadership, education, industry, and regional relationships. He helped organize markets, supported trade systems, participated in industrial ventures, and treated knowledge as a public trust. IMTAR Organization carries this legacy forward, not as nostalgia, but as responsibility.

Saudi Archive Record

Family archive
Among the most important records preserved in the IMTAR family archive is an image of Ismail Mohammed Tahir with King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reflecting part of the historic connection between the IMTAR family and the Saudi Royal Family.
This image is not decoration. It is a visual witness to a relationship that extended from Kordofan, Sudan, to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, built on respect, trust, and regional connection.
For IMTAR Organization, the image represents a bridge between the founder’s story in Sudan and the continuation of the IMTAR legacy from Riyadh today.

The IMTAR archive preserves the people, places, and moments that shaped the family's contribution to commerce, civic leadership, education, and public service.
